Artist Statement

My name is Owen Burgess and when I first entered this class I was pretty nervous considering I was the only guy in the class, but through photography I have been able to express feelings and reality throughout some of my photos.  Photography in the beginning, was a difficult thing.  I needed to know lots of things about the camera such as shutter speed and aperture.  There was plenty of trial and error when it came to getting the lighting right and then processing my images was a whole other struggle, but Photography has shown me that there is more to an image than just a photo and how important photography is to others and to me.
